Lions Basketball has a very successful season!!

It has been a fantastic year for our basketball teams at TCHS. It has been amazing to see the growth of individual players and their teams throughout the season. This year, our teams have explored what it means to be Brave, both on and off the basketball court. Our Tier 1 Boys had a great finish to their season, competing in the 3J South Zone Championship, playing against the best teams in the zone. The girls that were competing with the St. Mary’s Aurora’s competed in Zones at Lethbridge College, facing a strong JT Foster team, losing by only a few points. The Senior Varsity Boys team competed in Zones at Lethbridge College, finishing in third place and earning their entry to the 1a Provincial Championship being held at Coaldale Christian School.  This of course is the first time a TCHS team has made provincials!  The boys represented our school well and played three hard games but were not able to come out with a win (although close).  We are very thankful for all the support that was shown by parents, friends, students and staff throughout the season.  It was great to see all the fans at the games to cheer on our players!  We are also thankful for our hardworking coaches who have volunteer countless hours toward these teams!  We look forward to the next season!  Go Lions!!
