TCHS Outdoor Ed Trip

On May 29 TCHS took 30 students, with the support of gracious cooks (amazing parents) for an outdoor experience in the Crowsnest Pass. We stayed at the Island Lake Christian Retreat Centre for two nights and three days. With a focus on exploring God's creation and imagination, the group climbed Island Lake Mountain the first day, and on the second students climbed Turtle Mountain (Frank's Slide location). In total, students climbed almost 1200 metres of elevation and had the most awe-inspiring time observing the beauty of the mountains. Amazingly, every student summited Turtle mountain, enduring the difficult terrain and high elevation gain! When we weren't climbing, we were playing in the waters of Island Lake, we threw footballs and frisbees, and many played basketball. We also had daily devotions and worship, along with nightly fellowship around a campfire. Thank you to all the students who participated, the staff who managed the days, and, especially, the volunteer parents who made the most amazing meals for us!
